Zinic’s Dreamhack Winter schedule

November 24, 2009

On the 26.11.2009 in Jönköping, Sweden, Dreamhack winter 2009 will take place and Pink Zinic will be there to participate in the tournament and meet with the fans. After nisse left the team, girls were looking for the fifth player who can fit both their game style and character. After hours of searching for the perfect match, they’ve found Julie. Now, the new Pink Zinic roster will have an opportunity to present themselves to a larger crowd. Doing great in ESL Major Series, they want to prove to skeptics that girls can also win something big against guys.

Also on Wednesday, Julie is going to have a photo shoot in Copenhagen, Denmark, after which the whole Pink Zinic management team together with beautiful German will head to Sweden by car picking up zAAz and IpSa on their way to Jönköping. Inzane is going straight to Dreamhack town from Stockholm and Irene flys from Spain to Gothenburg and takes a bus to have a safe ride. Whole Pink Zinic meets up at night, day before the official start.

Girls will have to face top notch teams as Dreamhack is known for having best players on every tournament. Four Swedish world class teams, SK Gaming, MYM, H2K and Begrip will be there. To make it even more interesting Danes from mTw and Spirit of Amiga are coming as well. Teams from a cross the ocean will join DH. Evil Geniuses and compLexity will do their best to defeat the opponents but USA is not famous for having good Counter Strike teams. We’ll find out in what shape they are very soon.

EMS: PMS vs ESC ICY BOX EMS TODAY 21:00 CET

November 23, 2009

Welcome to myzinic.com EMS CS 1.6 female coverage. Playday 3 is on and as always, there are matches you can’t miss. Even though Pink Zinic has its match postponed to December due to Dreamhack 2009 which our team is taking part in, there are still games that might get you interested. Unfortunately eXcellentia vs ESC ICY BOX EMS and eSuba.sapphire ladies vs Ladies.EMS were both played with ESC ICY BOX EMS and eSuba.sapphire ladies winning their matches 10-16 and 16-4. eXcellentia is in bad position right now as they have lost already two games out of two played.

Girls from Czech Republic are on the winning streak with two wins and will have their chance to make third one with German team called SNOGARD Dragons on the 24th of November. badGirlsclan is going to play against Infernal Gamers on the 26th of November. This match is looking pretty easy for the Spanish teams as they are second in group A (behind Pink Zinic) with two won games. Germans lost their first game to Pink Zinic.

Aurora Gaming from Denmark is playing their second game as well. After losing to Burning!, Danes have a chance to get back on track and win with Guardians, team that has also lost one map. Team SPEEDLINK is in the same situation as Aurora. They need to pull out some nice game against Burning! to be counted as one of the favorites to leave the group. So far they are not doing well, but they still can surprise us.

Edit1: Aurora Gaming vs Guardians and eSuba.sapphire ladies vs SNOGARD Dragons TODAY. Be sure to watch those live at 21:00 CET.

Edit2: Aurora Gaming vs Guardians was postponed. eSuba.sapphire ladies lost to SNOGARD Dragons. Today’s matches are mousesports vs tempus moriendi and Frankfurt 69ers vs Infernal Gamers. Be sure to watch them at 21:00 CET!

Edit3: Today we’re going to see a match between PMS 1.6 Europe and ESC ICY BOX EMS. German team is in better position as they have 1-1 stats while girls from Finish team lost two matches and this might be their third lose. Stay tuned for updates and be sure to watch it!

EMS V: Pink Zinic 16:4 Flawless

November 19, 2009

Today, 8 matches will be played in the second playday of ESL Major Series. Our girls will face Polish team named Flawless which includes known nicknames like shilla or DeeDee but after winning 16 - 1 against German Infernal Gamers; Pink Zinic shouldn’t lose this one. Especially with statement from the Flawless girls:

Hello

Well, tomorrow We will play our second match with our starts - Pink Zinic
We love this team
We are faithful fans and we take example from Pink Zinic game
We give our life for them and if we could, we would give them w/o because they are our stars :D

HF !!:D

Also, there are 7 other games to be played. Team ALNTERNATE will face PMS 1.6. Germans won over Tempus Moriendi 16 - 7 and PMS lost to mousesports 16 - 9 which was a little bit surprising. Guardians will face TBH.MSI who won over Team SPEEDLINK already and placed 1st in their group so far. Team SPEEDLINK will play against unFinished. They need to focus right now and get back on track.

Mousesports is going to play against ESC ICY BOX EMS. Russians have to start playing just like they did on PET and beat their opponents with higher scores if they want to pull out a nice game against Pink Zinic once more. The reason for this might be roster change. Olga Pak swapped with Elena Urusova. We will see if that was a good change or not very soon.

Girls from iNNERFiRE who lost their first match to eSuba.sapphire ladies, will now face French Be-The-Best. Tempus Moriendi who lost to PMS 1.6 will play against eXcellentia. It’s going to be the first match Swedes and big chance for Poles to show what they are capable of. Last but not least, Aurora Gaming starts EMS with match against Burning! who had a draw in match against unFinished. We’re definitely looking forward to that.

HLTV will be provided for all matches and stay tuned for live updates here, on myzinic.com.

ESL Major Series kicks off!

November 11, 2009

After a few weeks break for Zinic in which the two qualification rounds took place, we finally now know the teams that have advanced to the group stage. Four groups with the top3 teams advancing to the playoffs have be drawn. Pink Zinic girls were seeded directly and were placed in group A with teams like Frankfurt 69ers or ROX.KIS.Ladies who won over eSuba.sapphire Ladies yesterday. To see how all the groups were setup, please click here.

It looks like the teams were divided very well no to have more than 1 or two favorites in one group. Group A is all about Pink Zinic and Frankfurt 69ers. Group B has mousesports and Team ALTERNATE, although Germans may have slight problems after loosing Julie. There is group C which has teams that are not commonly known besides iNNERFiRE. But even though people will be watching group A and B matches, I suggest you to take a look at group D where we have Aurora Gaming and Team SPEEDLINK which are eager to show that Pan-European Tournament performance was just a bad day.

GROUP A:
# Pink Zinic
# badGirlsclan
# Frankfurt 69ers
# Flawless
# Infernal Gamers
# RoX.KIS.Ladies

Pink Zinic girls will have their first match tomorrow on the 12th of November (UPDATE: Match postponed to Sunday). They will play against German team called Infernal Gamers at 21:00 with HLTV providing a live stream. Team manger, Jonas ‘The1Crow’ Gebhardt, gave a pre-match statement on ESL:

“Tomorrow we start in the new ESL Major Series with the first match against Infernal. Obviously there is quite some pressure on us as we come as the reigning champions from last season, though we don’t mind about that too much and just want to do one thing this season, which is to defend our title and become number one yet another time.

As we wrote already on our homepage www.myzinic.com a few days ago, we feel stronger as ever before which is also affected by the fact that Julie just joined us and strengthens the team.

Despite to that every single player in our team is highly motivated and we are looking forward to proof this tomorrow in the first match.

HF & GL!”

Irene: We are testing some mutations

November 8, 2009

Hey there!!

It’s been such a cold day here (15ºC), perfect to stay at home and write a blog, don’t u think? xD

Currently I’m preparing some homework I gotta do until Tuesday for my genetics class. We are testing some mutations on flies (Drosophila melanogaster) because it’s the most or one of the most popular organisms used to study DNA (for noobs like me of course). At the same time I’m watching program on discovery channel called “Megaestructure” or  something like that :s It’s about the construction of a super-penitentiary in the USA called North Branch. I don’t usually watch this type of programs but this one was interesting!

Well about the team… A lot of things have happened in the past weeks… first of all, nisse left due to lack of time that she could dedicate to CS. I felt bad because, even though I don’t know her for a long time, I really enjoyed playing and being with her in a team. Our English is not the best and maybe I couldn’t have some long conversations as I had with IpSa for example, but sometimes that isn’t necessary to communicate with each other and to know how a person is. I feel she helped me during that time as much as she could and I bring a good memory of the time we played together ;). And of course I hope to see u again! (u gotta see my new hair straightener, u will love it *_*)

At that time when nisse told us she would stop playing we’ve started to think about some replacements. We had different players in mind and some of the girls came up with the idea of testing a player I didn’t see as a good replacement. We played with her some matches and after that we’ve realized she was the best option for us. She is skilled, always in a good mood (which I think is important) and fits really well in the free spot we had. I hope it will be announced soon because she is eager to show everyone a good game.

I could be writing a blog for the whole day but I think u would fall asleep so.. lets end this for now xDD.

I would like to say h3ll0! to my best friend aNooB…sorry, aNouC! hOla an0! Someday I will write about some adventures we had these past 5-6 years (with censure of course).

Don’t forget to check www.zinicauction.com!!! (Jonas i wrote it good without cheeking :D).

PS: new season of EMS is starting in the next few days, don’t forget to check!

EMS: Qualified teams and Qualification Round 1

May 26, 2009

Two weeks of national qualifiers for the ESL Counter-Strike female Major Series are finally over and some of the best teams from whole Europe qualified for the second round. Even though the male Counter-Strike scene is pretty huge in Scandinavia things seem to be different when it comes to the girls as next to us only AurorA Gaming from Denmark qualified for the next qualification round.

Glady Pink Zinic doesn’t need to participate in the qualifiers we are as previous season winners are directly qualified for the playoffs and of course we will try our best to grab the awesome price money of 4 000 Euro.

Pink Zinic

Inzane: We want to kick some ass

April 22, 2009

Helloo :)

Nisse and InzaneIt has been a while since I wrote my last blog. We just came home from Copenhagen last week. We bootcamped there from the 6th - 9th April. There were some problems at our office, where we wanted to hold the bootcamp in the first place, with the computers so we went to two different net cafés to play from and the first one wasn’t so good, sometimes the ping was like from 6ms to 200. The next day we went to another one and it was so much better.

We practiced there and then we went to SLAP on the Friday. It didn’t go that well, but that’s not the end, we will train more and learn from our mistakes and also do better next time! At least we won EMS finals and we took home 500E. I really hope ESWC will happened this year somehow, cause we really want to kick some asses.

After SLAP me, zAAz, IpSa and AurorA went back to AurorA’s place and then we got the idea, or actually I got the idea, of going out since it was my birthday on the 9th April and we didn’t do anything special until that day ’cause we had to practice a lot. So we went out to a BIG club with so many people, we were dancing all night long to some really good music and then our feet hurt so much so we went home and ate pasta with bearnaise sauce - tasted really good :)

On the next morning when we woke up we ate some very nice breakfast with bread, scrambled eggs, bacon, strawbarries ananas and juice. Then it was time for me to go home. My plane arrived in Stockholm arround 4 and then I went straight to bed ’cause I was so tired. But the previous days were really a lot of fun!

Enough CS talk! :D Last night I was out celebrating a friend’s birthday as she turned 18 so we got really drunk (as usual) but it was lots of fun. I was also out last Monday with a couple of friends, weren’t that much pople partying on a Monday out of course but I guess when you turned 18 you wanna go out and have fun and drink very often!

The time is now 1:38 and I just came home from a friend. We watched the movie The Terminal with Tom hanks and it was really good. I am really tired now so I will probably sleep anytime soon… See you soon!
