Pink Zinic to attend Dreamhack Summer 2009

June 3, 2009

It is known already since a few weeks that the Swedish based lineup from fnatic will actually not participate at this years Dreamhack Summer edition. Due to the fact that fnatic’s GeT_RiGhT and Gux will provide their services for the EPS SCA Finals participant Lemondogs which may make this team without any doubt to a top 3 favourite in the Dreamhack tournament. The tournament is hold from 13th until 16th in Sweden and next to the following teams also Pink ZINIC will drive up there to participate in this huge event.

Those teams already qualified for the playoffs, while ZINIC will try their best to run through the qualifiers and make it up to the big boys:

se SK Gaming (zet - alleN - RobbaN - walle - Tentpole)
se Begrip (JAEGARN - hibb - zneel - SnajdaN - pita)
se Lemondogs (GeT_RiGhT - Gux - threat - face - kHRYSTAL)
fi Crack Clan (natu - naSu - SpikeOne - tihOp - dRiim)
us Evil Geniuses (lurppis - fRoD - Warden - n0thing - Storm)
dk Spirit of Amiga (woodi - noas - Friis - zE- - Stagep)
fr Millenium (sixeR - Ozstrik3r - MAJ3R - Geno - Yoshi)
bg HSBG-Gaming (MILENK0 - swaarm - NECR0 - thrice - geko)

(flags from readmore.de)

We are all pretty excited to go up their to Dreamhack as it is a huge and interesting event with a good mixture of amateur and pro teams. A positive thing is also that more or less everyone has the change to win big here as of course some teams are invited but the qualifiers give everyone, also us, the chance to show what we are really able to do.

Expect video interviews, video coverage, pictures and a lot of more cool stuff about us during and before the Dreamhack kicks off - follow us on Twitter to get the latest updates and don’t forget to visit our homepage frequently!

Play with reverse mouse?

April 30, 2009

Hey! sup everybody?

It´s so nice weather everyday. I´ve been sitting outside in the sun all day long, love it!

Today I was thinking how my life would look like without CS. I would probably be in Australia right now with my best friend and working or else I would have my own apartment. Though now I don’t have money for it!

Sometimes I really miss to do stuff like that, I can’t right now because of my team. And I am thinking if it is worth playing. It just has both, advantages and disadvantages to play. The bad things is that I sometimes have to say no to friends when they ask me to hang out with them, and it is even more sad to say no on  sunny days like these.

The good things is that I have met a lot of new lovely people that I probably would have never get in touch with if I didn’t start playing, and, of course, I’ve been traveling around the world and had lots of fun with the girls. The biggest moment was of course when we won ESWC Masters in Paris last year. It was a great feeling, especially when the majority thought SK would win - mohaha. Ah but it is so sad that it ain’t for sure if there will be an ESWC tournament this year as I was really looking forward to it! But let’s just hope for the best. But yeah, things like that make it worth to keep on fighting, I don’t regret anything. I’m not planning to have kids and stuff like that in the early future so I can still keep on traveling and and become the family woman later when I start to think CS isn’t fun anymore ;)

If you don’t know yet, I can tell you I play with reverse mouse. It was my brother that showed counter-strike to me and he also played with it (I think he played too much Quake), so it just became natural for me. I didn’t know anything about how using hardware or the mouse back in that time. I know there have been some discussions about this and I just have to say that I think it is more logical with reverse. Yeah, you can think I am a bit silly, buuuut I just like it that way… What do you think? And do u know any people who play like that, cuz I don’t and I am curious!!

Ahh, I can’t think about anything else to write for now. What do you wanna read about next time? Help me, I am newbie at this :D

P.S.: Don’t forget, today IpSa and zAAz fight for Zinic in the Gameback.pl cup - read more here!

I missed to play the game

April 20, 2009

Hi everybody!

Nisse and InzaneI won’t be writing about SLAP, the boot camp and stuff this time cuz the other girls almost wrote everything that I had on my mind about it… So this time I will just write about some thoughts about something else…

Some of you might wonder why I wanted to join up with the girls again after being kicked out. Well, first of all I still had very good contact with some of the remaining girls in the team. They were really sad that they had to kick me and talked to me a lot. Second thing is, I missed the game and like you might know there are not many good female teams out there, especially not in Sweden. So there was not really any option to join another team. They regretted what they did and wanted me back, and we got this nice offer with ZINIC, so I couldn’t say no!

Today I am really happy, yesterday was the first day at work. I have been searching for a job for a long time and I finally got this one at an animal park called Kolmården in Sweden. I will be working with the “lift” and help people to get on and off and stuff like that, actually it is just about being nice to people and I think I’m pretty good at it! Only 7 new people out of 420 got the job which makes me even more proud to work there now ;)
It was fun yesterday and I met many nice people. I think I will have a really good time there during this summer!

That’s it for today, take care all! Thanks for reading - much more to come soon!
