Hello!

I’m still alive. The flight was really boring, no good movies or anything so i were just daydreaming all the time. I couldnt sleep so much and the time went really slow. But I arrived in time and took the train, it was actually not that bad because I saw some nice nature and stuff like that. At the trainstation Saga and Emelie came to pick me up. We went almost directly to the beach and were just chilling. The beach is called “The Bar beach” and is like 1 minute walk from our appartment. Our place is small but has everything we need so its OK!

Later we decided to go to a shop and buy some food and we ended up with buying food for like 3 weeks. So we had 15 bags to carry. We thought about taking a taxi but its only 10 minutes walk so we wanted to give it a try. After the half way we couldnt carry anymore, it was just to heavy! So Emelie and Saga went to the appartment with few of the bags and I stayed and watched over the others. Later they came back and we finally got all the bags home. It took us like 1 hour to get back, haha. We will never do that mistake again.

The next day we were just at the beach again. I were really jetlagged so I had no energy to do anything else. We were just chilling all day and cooked some food.

Today we’re back back at the beach again and for the first time we  took a swim. My new nickname is tomato, because I got red of the sun (No worries Im careful). Later Saga is going to cut my hair and then we’re going out for karaoke night. Right now Im just chilling at the beach.

Hello everybody!

Somebody’s missing me? ;P Well, here comes an update for what happens in my life since I stopped playing counter-strike. I’ve just been working and working at fabulous McDonalds! hehe :) And now I felt for a change, so I decided to travel down to Australia and visit two friends that have been living and working there for more than one year already. I will leave 14 February and stay there for 2½ month. I’ve got a Working Holiday Visa now so I will try to find a job down there. And when I’m back home I will work at the lovely Zoo Kolmården that opens 1 May this summer too! So that’s how my plans looks like atm.. I will update you more during my trip, and if you are interested I will give you pretty many! If not, you will see them anyway ;)

Okey, So.. The only thing that I know will happen there now is that we will stay in New Castle first of all. So when I arrive I have to catch the train, it takes 3 hours. I calculated how many hours I will be travelling for from I leave my home till I arrive in New Castle, it takes 36 hours! Sucks, but it will be worth it! My friends know a guy there so we will stay at his place for free as long as everything works out. That’s nice! New Castle is not too far away from Sydney. Sydney is one of my biggest “must” there. If you have any suggestions of what there is to see, please let me know!

Tonight the girls here at Pink Zinic will be participating in the Semi-Final of the ESL Major Series. The game will be against the French team Burning!, who last week defeated Be-The-Best in a straight 2-0 victory. Like all the other Playoff games, the game will be in a best of three format, with inferno, nuke and dust2 being used.

Pre-Match Statement from Pink Zinic:

“Last week we played mouz in the playoffs and could knock them out on two maps which was a very important game for us and we were glad to be able to show our good game. In the next step to the EMS finals we have to manage to win over b! which actually eliminated BTB from the tournament last week. That shows that we have to play yet another time a good match in order to be able to win. We are convinced to be able to so!”

Already several weeks ago, before the ESL Major Series playoffs at GamesCom in Germany, Pink Zinic was forced to play with a stand in. Later on Irene ‘Irenuka’ Sanchez (download her new wallpaper here), joined the team as a permanent member. As by today, Pink Zinic is forced to replace after Cazzidy yet another founding member of the team as Sofie ‘nisse’ Adolfsson will no longer be a part.

She played together with some of the current Zinic girls for several years and proofed her outstanding skill and aim in top class female teams such as Les Seules, MeetYourMakers and since this year in Pink Zinic. Nisse won some of the biggest titles in the scene such as the ESWC Masters and the ESL Major Series for several times.

We are sad to be no longer able to have one of the strongest female players in Zinic and want to thank her for all the great efforts she did for the team within the last months.

Let’s hear from herself what are the reasons for this step.

Statement Sofie ‘nisse’ Adolfsson:

“I’ve decided to prioritize my real life before CS nowadays, after 6 years of playing this game, including 2 years on a professional level with Les Seules, MYM and Pink Zinic. I won’t be able to play as much as the other girls in the team want to, therefore it’s better for both, me and Zinic that I leave. I have collected a lot of good and also some bad memories with the girls, the trips we’ve done have been awesome, especially ESWC in San Jose and Paris and Roskilde festival this year. I think I will miss it a lot in the long term but anyways won’t be able to compete in a team right now, though keep on playing for fun. Thanks for everyone who supported me over all this time!”

Hello everybody!

I guess you’ve heard the good news already, we won in ESL MS female at gamescom. Was it expected? Yeah, I have to say so. I mean both Alternate and SNOGARD are really good teams, but as far as I remember we always won against them. We are selfconfident and know we can beat any female team if we just play our game. But of course it wasnt easy to win, there were some tight matches.

We were a bit nervous the first day against SNOGARD because a loss against them would have ended the tournament for us with a 3th-4th place and that would not be OK at all for us. I played kinda bad that day, I was so nervous and couldn’t focus on the game. But my teammates did a really good job so I can’t blame myself when we won anyways, everybody can have bad day :) I think I proved myself in the final.
To play on stage was exactly how fun I remember it was on ESWC final. Not so big this time but it was really fun and a great experience. If I could choose, I would choose to play on stage every match ;)

After the victory we went back to the hotel to took a shower, changed clothes and then back to the event where they had a ESL player party. There were free drinks for everybody the whole night. So yeah, maybe some people got a little bit to much of it, hehehe ;) But it was really fun. Later me, Lancia (from fragbite), Irene and face took a taxi back to the hostel, or to Lancias hotel actually; don’t ask me why we didn’t continue, but we had to walk about the double distance then if we would have walked from the party directly to our hostel. I am really surprised that we even found the way back! With high heels - that SUCKED, a lot!

But we got back to the hostel and then we were just sitting there chilling and talking with some people. I got a hamburger from carn and forest that was so LOVELY because we didn’t eat since 13.00PM. Aat 06.30AM I went up to my room and slept 2-3 hours, then allen and inzane woke me up. I was still drunk. We met zaaz and ipsa and so on in the lobby because Bo and The1crow wanted to drive home. Ipsa didn’t feel to well either. The trip home was so tough!

But now im finally home, and we’re happy!

Hello fans of Zinic,

this is just a very quick and very short update live from the Gamescom here in Germany. The exhibition is totally crowded today and it needs quite some time to get from the main entrance to the ESL booth which is located in hall 9.

After we won yesterday in a pretty long match against the Germany EPS team of Snogard Dragons with 16:13 on tuscan and 16:11 on inferno we of course sat down and discussed the match. With more concentration and more save playing we should able to stand a very good chance today in the grand final against team Alternate from Germany. We highly respect this team and their skill and are aware of that it won’t be an easy task. Though we are self-confidence and know that we are able to take the victory over them - and this is what counts, nothing else then a victory!

The match is supposed to start at 14:00 CET on the big stage with hundreds of people watching it. Cheer for us in the ESL arena or watch the match live on ESL TV with a top notch shoutcast.

GL & HF - may the better team win!

As you guys know already, those days we are together with the Danish mTw boys at the famous rock festival in Roskilde, Denmark. There you can find us just close to the orange main stage in the white social gaming tent which offers you the chance to play Counter-Strike with us or just observe us while we take on mTw, which are playing with spx and Guddo as a stand in, while we play with zeleNa and AurorA as stand ins.

Basically everyone who is on the festival since a couple of days already (such as ZINIC|zeleNa) are pretty red in their face, as the sun is burning every day. Many people also look kind of tired and dirrty, but I guess that is how festival life should be. You can just forget everything else for a couple of days and life the special way of life which happens like in the own world called Roskilde Festival. Pretty cool!

Last night the first matches kicked off and Jens Ringdale, the head of Roskilde eSports who made this awesome gaming tent possible, introduced Pink Zinic vs mTw as the match with the best female facing the best male team. Actually we were able to take quite a couple of rounds from the boys and when we felt they got too much money we got the chance to use our ‘ladies cards’ which forced Sunde, ave and Co. to empty their beers straight away.

Later on we watched a bit of the Kayne West concert which had some really good sound and stage build up though he played a lot of unknown songs in the beginning which didn’t heat the crowd up that much. We left before midnight but might stay way longer today.

We are in the middle of the summer meanwhile and this is usually the time when the eSports world starts to spin a bit slower as the sunshine may decoy you to go outside. The girls of Pink Zinic agree about that and decided to join more then 70 000 people at the Roskilde Music Festival in Roskilde, Denmark. Bands like Oasis, The Mars Volta, Coldplay or Kanye West ensure that the crowd is gets heated up and are able to enjoy a great show.

If you find some spare time during the music program, Roskilde eSports offers now a solution as they built up the social gaming tent. There it is possible to enjoy video games from different companies and test the latest hardware from companies such as Intel. Pink Zinic will also have its very own booth inside this tent which gives you the opportunity to get in touch with the girls, chat about everything you want to and see them live in action.

Every evening from July 2nd till 5th, at around 7pm Zinic will play showmatches against the Danish powerhouse Counter-Strike team mTw. Are the girls able to stand a chance against Sunde, zonic and Co.? Visit the tent and find out yourself!

As both zAAz and IpSa are on vacation at the moment, we will have Sofie ‘zeleNa’ Sandager as a stand in. She has a long history with the girls and the team as she once also was a player for Les Seules, which is the former name of Pink Zinic.

Hi all! :)

The BYOC tournament

As you might know we just came home from Dreamhack, Jönköping a few days ago. The tournament there didn’t go as well as we hoped. We finished the group stage pretty well, won all the matches big except one, that we tied. And they got two more rounds against another team which ment they ended first in our group. Then we were unlucky to meet the polish DELTA team and it was only single elimination. It shouldn’t sound like an excuse, but DELTA is without a doubt a really strong team.

We did not only participate in the BYOC-tournament there, but also participated in a couple of other activities. For example, we had some “showmatches” at the norton booth where people could challenge us. I played with inzane and in the beginning it didn’t go that well for me, I was so nervous because it was the first time I did something like that (I havent played aim_map since 2 years or something) But later on I got used to it and the nervosity disappeared and we played really good. If I remember correct only 2-3 people won against us. And we played like 1 hour in a row. I am up for more next time! :D

The after party

The last night everybody went out to drink a bit. Not only from our team, but also many players from other teams. Gladly everybody is over 18 now in our team so there wasn’t any problem with that ;) I wasn’t supposed to drink so much because I had to go up and drive home kinda early the next day, but it ended up drinking kinda much at the party anyways. Everybody just danced and was happy, think everybody had a lot of fun! The bar/club where we have been closed at 2.00 AM. Sucky Sweden! So we drove back with a can to the hotel and hang out a bit more. Then we went to bed later and woke up at around 9am the next morning after a few hours of sleep and had some pretty bad hangover. It was a bit unpleasant to drive home I can say, but it went OK =) Don’t ask about the picture, that was done at some late hour!

Midsommer

3 days after that I traveled to Öland/Borgholm in Sweden to celebrate midsummer with some friends, it was really fun as we ate delicious good food and talked a lot of shit and just danced and had a great time. We listened to “Pitbull - I Know You Want Me” (listen and watch here) all the time. First I thought it was really bad but when I heard it so many times I just couldn’t stop lovin it! So watch out for that song this summer, I bet it will be the new “summer hit”!

Zinic to Roskilde Festival

So it has been quite some traveling for me lately and soon we will go to the huge Roskilde Festival in Denmark from July 2nd till 5th.. It is supposed to be one of the biggest music festivals in Europe with around 70 000 people and hundreds of bands attending. There will be an eSports-tent where ZINIC has its own booth in, that’s just awesome! And we will play some showmatches against a big male team from Scandinavia every evening, but who that team is will be revealed later. Make sure to drop by and say hello. Since zAAz and IpSa will be on summer vacation during that time and sadly can’t play, our manager AurorA will play as well as Sofie ‘zeleNa’ Sandager will return to the team as a stand-in, which will be really awesome.

I am looking forward to it though I’m not that kind of a “sleep-in-a-tent-girl”. As a matter of fact - I hate it. Always feel so dirty and disgusting when I wake up. Bleeh! But I guess we will be so drunk so I don’t care where we sleep. ha-ha. Nah, but we can sleep at the Sponsormatic office if we want to, which is only 30 minutes away from there or at AurorA’s place. And there are some good artists and groups coming up there I really wanna see, like Trentemøller, Röyksopp, Lily Allen, Deadmau5, Asle Bjørn, Slipknot, Volbeat, Coldplay, Social Distortion, Nine inch nails, The Mars Volta and Oasis. I guess I won’t be able to watch all of them because we have work to do also, but I will see as many as possible :) wooho.

Dreamhack Summer 2009 is over and we are headed way back home which turned out not to be the most easiest thing in the world as the after party lasted quite long and with at least a few drinks which didn’t allow us and our driver to catch that much sleep. But somehow we managed to get home and all slept like 12 hours or more.
